Iguana

The iguana is an exotic species of lizard that lives in a tropical climate. The average life span of iguanas living in trees is 19-21 years. It is a completely herbivorous species; They feed on plants such as fruits and leaves. Its height is mostly 1.3-2 meters from nose to tail. Male iguanas are more aggressive than females. The way male iguanas protect themselves is to whip the tail. .

Nutrition

The diet of iguanas should be 20% Vegetable 80% Fruit. In the diet of iguanas, products such as lettuce, cucumber and tomato are generally used, but these products do not provide benefits in the development of iguanas because they contain low protein. Diseases occur in iguanas that are not fed adequately. 6-8 kinds of vegetables and fruits should be given daily. Calcium / D3 powder and vitamin powder can be added to foods as supplements. Broccoli, cauliflower, carrot and corn should not be given in the diet. Iguanas are said to love lettuce, but lettuce alone definitely contains malnutrition.
